Flower and Garden Festival Bauernmarkt

We stopped at the Bauernmarkt Farmer's Market located in Germany. This is always one of my favorite stops as it is the place for my favorite beer. We ordered 2 items from this menu. The Potato Pancakes and Warm Cheese Strudel.

The potato pancakes were pretty amazing. They had house made apple sauce on top of them; ,you can see the thickness of it. Always a favorite of mine. Cost 3.75 DDP snack eligible is listed as vegetarian.

Next was the Warm cheese strudel with mixed berries. The strudel itself was really good, but I did not enjoy the sauce that the berries were in. I still ate the strudel though, and hubby finished the rest. Cost was 4.00 and is DDP snack eligible

Flower and Garden Festival The Smokehouse

We stopped at the Smokehouse Barbecue and Brews. This is always like your typical barbecue foods, but with a kick. This booth is located in the American Adventure area.

We picked up 3 items at this booth, and they were pretty amazing.

First up is the Pulled Pig slider, I get this every year, but this year it was much better than previous years. There was added coleslaw on the top which added a nice crunch to the slider. Cost was 6.00 and is DDP eligible.

Next up was my husband's favorite, the Beef Brisket with burnt ends hash with white cheddar fondue and pickled jalapeno peppers. Just a tad spicy, but that was really good. Cost was 6.25 and is DDP eligible.

The last thing we ordered was the Warm Chocolate Cake with  bourbon-salted caramel sauce and spiced pecans. This cake was really good. I am not a fan of spicy things and the pecans were very spicy for me, but I scraped them off and still enjoyed the ooey-gooey cake. Cost was 3.75 DDP eligible, and is listed as vegetarian.

Flower and Garden Festival Urban Farm Eats

The first booth we stopped at was Urban Farm Eats. It is located in the Showcase Plaza in Epcot. We got 2 food items from here. The Watermelon Salad, and the Seared Pork Tenderloin.

The watermelon salad appealed to me,as I have never eaten a watermelon salad before,so I was feeling adventurous and tried it,I am so glad I did. The Watermelon Salad has fresh pickled onions, baby arugula, feta and a balsamic reduction, and of course watermelon. The ingredients in this just marry together so perfectly, it was probably the best thing I tried. This dish is listed as gluten free and vegetarian. Cost of this salad was 4.00 and DDP snack eligible.

Next was the Seared Pork Tenderloin, It had a beautiful mushroom ragout, spring vegetables and fingerling potatoes in it. It was really good and very tasty. Cost was 6.25 and DDP  snack eligible.

Flower and Garden Festival Cider House

We came up to the Cider House which is located in the United Kingdom of Epcot. Here is where we purchased the best thing I ever had at the festival. The Pear cider-brined shredded corned beef.

Let me start by saying I do not like corned beef at all, I never have. Even as a kid, my grandma would make it every St. Paddy's Day and I would hate the smell of it cooking. We were going to walk past this booth, but my husband said I am gonna get it, so I said go for it then. I am so glad he did. We almost walked away from the line as the cashier was having issues with the register, but hubby stuck it out and ordered. We finally got our order, got to a table right next to the water and in the shade, and he began eating. He begged me to try it. I was like no thanks, but I caved and gave in and tried it. Have you ever had fireworks go off in your mouth? Well, this was one of those times! Never have I ever tasted something so amazing! The braised cabbage, pears and the Branston dressing all mixed together to create one of the most amazing food experiences I have ever eaten! The portion we got was a nice size too. Cost was 5.50 and is DDP snack eligible.
