Ivy Trellis Salon - A Princess's Best Kept Secret

Have you ever tried making an appointment for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and it was booked? There is another option for you, the Ivy Trellis Salon at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

We had plans to go in December but because of circumstances beyond our control, we had to change our travel
date to February. Since it was a last minute change in travel plans, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique was booked. After weeks of calling to check for cancellations, I was getting determined to find something for my daughter. I finally found the hidden secret. I booked the Perfectly Prepared Princess Package at the Ivy Trellis.

As of January 2015, Ivy Trellis Salon has a new Perfectly Prepared Princess Package.(kids ages 4-12)
** Princess hairdo with a souvenir tiara -- $50.
** Hair-styling plus glow make-up -- $75.
** Hair, makeup and a fancy manicure -- $90.

The Ivy Trellis is such an awesome alternative to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The hair style is customized to what your little princess wants. I suggest planning your appointment according to your schedule so your princess can enjoy the experience the entire day.

If you have Magic Maker or Photo Pass, I highly suggest stopping over at the Castle Couture in the Magic Kingdom to have your picture taken in a studio setting. Need Pixie Dust? Ask a Cast Member and they will get out their secret stash that Tinker Bell left behind.

Reservations for the Ivy Trellis Salon can be made in advance by calling 407-WDW-SPAS or ask your Travel Agent for assistance.

 Disney Cruise Food

Disney food. There is nothing like it anywhere else. If you leave any meal hungry, it is now one's fault but your own. Every meal can be all you can eat, if you don't get enough!
Disney Mac n Cheese

I am just like a kid, I love mac n cheese. I literally had some form of mac n cheese every single day on our cruise. It was on the buffet and I requested it every night for dinner, either as part of my entree or my appetizer.  I am a mac n cheese connoisseur and this is good stuff. One night they even had mac n cheese soup!
Mac n Cheese Soup
No matter what your style of eating or the fare you prefer, you can find it on a Disney cruise. Appetizers at every evening meal with a salad if you want and then a huge entree and finish it up with dessert.

Lettuce Wedge with Tomatoes and Croutons

Birthday Celebration Chocolate Dessert
The main entrees feature everything from steak to chicken or fish and various vegetarian entrees. Gluten free is also available upon request. Everything that anyone in my family of 7 tried, we liked. Did you know if you like something a lot, you can request it again? YEP! And you can also have things brought in from other restaurants.

My favorite part of every meal was dessert. We had so many options to choose from that we all got something different and shared. Don't like whats on the menu? Mickey bars are always an option. You can also have them delivered to your too via room service for a late night snack.

Hollow World

A story about an incredible rescue mission set right in the heart of The Happiest Place On Earth™, Hollow World by Nick Pobursky has been called many things. It’s been called thrilling, edgy, and violent (just to name a few), and it definitely lives up to such a dangerous sounding reputation! I would compare Hollow World to the ride Expedition Everest at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. By this, I mean that it is a suspenseful roller coaster of a book that takes you on a  calm, smooth ride for about two point five seconds before sending you careening around corners and rushing through loops until you’re not sure which way is forward or which way is back.  Completely full of agonizing plot twists, riveting action, and seemingly unsolvable mysteries, Hollow World is one of the darkest, craziest, and definitely one of the most twisted Disney-themed books that I have read up to date. It’s impossible to put down and a mystery story to last throughout the ages.
I would definitely recommend it to almost any fan of the suspense/thriller genre or just about any reader in general. This being said, I absolutely would NOT advise any children, or most teens for that matter,  to read this book. As wonderful and as riveting as it is, Hollow World is a deeply chilling book that’s not for the young child (meaning children 14 and under) and definitely not for the faint of heart. Ladies and gentlemen, please fasten your seat belts and keep all hands, feet, and objects inside the vehicle at all times because this one is going to be a wild ride.
