Foodie Friday: Liberty Square Market

Now let me tell you, I have been to Disney over 100 times and I had heard about the Liberty Square Market in Magic Kingdom, yet never bothered to check it out. During the last Disney 24 hour event, we had plenty of time on our hands and figured, why not go check that spot out. Located smack dab in Liberty Square you will see a little market of sorts, mostly done in all white, with some cool barrels and wagons like old time USA.

This is another one of those hidden, yet not hidden gems, I only say hidden on this one because with just a glance, you would think its just another place that sells drinks and whatever ,but boy was I wrong ! I always heard about this roasted corn that they sold, but never had it before. So, we went and saw how much they really pack into this little area. It's a great place to get some fruit and veggies for the ones watching their calories. They also had chips, cookies, sandwiches, gluten free choices and a nice array of juices. On a hot day it was so nice to have a cool apple juice instead of soda. They also have slushies, and of course grilled corn.

The corn smelled amazing and fresh, it was of course grilled and still inside most of its husk, so, it basically steamed when you opened it to eat. The cool part of this was they have all kinds of different spices to put on your corn. From regular Italian spices, Jerk, Lemon Pepper, Smoked paprika to BBq. Not too bad for 3.99 an ear. It can also be used a a snack credit for those on the DDP.

They have seating right behind the market which made it perfect to sit down and relax for a few minutes and crunch on my awesomely good ear of grilled corn.
