Quick food and wine review: Desserts and champagne kiosk

This is one of those kiosks where every year you get the best dessert trios, and this year was the best year for it. The dessert trio as it's called is a small sampling of 3 different desserts. This years is Passion fruit coconut creamsicle, blueberry lime cheesecake, and chocolate espresso opera cake.

This trio costs 4.00, but is the perfect way to end the night. Perfect portion of sweet, tart, and just yum!!!

I can't decided on a favorite here, they were all so good in their own way.

As you can see they were a nice size and easily share-able, as I did with my hubby.

Quick food and wine kiosk review: China

Last week while at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival we got to try a few of the goodies before the super heavy rain we had that day. My favorite out of what we had was China. We purchased 2 different food items and a drink there.

First was Mongolian beef in a steamed bun with chili mayo. This was really good and hubby loved it. It tasted really fresh, though the bun it came on was a little strange, but this was hot and fresh. It was a nice portion for the $5.00 it costs.

Next we had the Chicken pot stickers. These are my favorite by far. Everything you would expect from a pot sticker. These cost $4.00.

This is mango green tea with popping bubbles. This was my favorite drink the whole day. Not only did it have the regular "bubbles", but also there were mango flavored bubbles too! This was a nice size cup, super yummy! It costs $6.50.

We loved what we got here in China, and can not wait to go back and get some more in a few weeks.

Arendelle Punch

If you are visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios and love Frozen you will love Arendelle Punch. We went last week, and had fast passes to see the Frozensing a long. We arrived about 15 minutes early and it was kind of warm out. We saw this cute little booth called Frozen Fun snack kiosk on the way by. I saw they, already had the food items like the cookies and rice crispy treats, but I'd never had this punch. It comes in a regular plastic cup of about 12oz, or in a Olaf plastic cup which is about the same in ounces. I opted for the regular cup because I had already bought an Olaf cup. It was so refreshing and good, and on that day, my husband and I shared, and it was gone before we got in line for the sing along.

After having some fun with the cast members, I told them I would make them famous and we joked around. I asked about the ingredients and tried to get them at home to exactly what was used.

Now, you don't have to worry about the kids taking a sip because this is a non-alcoholic drink. For a neat tip: wait until later on in the evening, this becomes "Let it Glow",with a glowing ice cube.

After the sing along was over we had to go over and get another cup, and my daughter got hers in an Olaf cup.

The regular plastic cup here was $3.75 The Olaf cup was $8.50.Later on the Let it glow cup with ice cube is more.

Now, to make this drink at home is super easy, I was surprised by how easy it was!

 You will need:

 a cup

Ginger Ale (They use Shweppes)

Pineapple juice (I used Dole)

You take the cup and add some ice. For a 12 oz cup, I added 1 cup of ginger ale, about half cup of pineapple juice, and about 1/4 of a cup of the grenadine. Now you can always add more or less to adjust the taste, and for me the taste was dead on! My kids now are hooked. It's super easy, and would make a great punch to go along with any Frozen party.

Habst and the Disney Sabatours- A Book Review

I want to give an honest review of the book without giving away anything about the storyline. I loved it! The book kept me hanging on the edge of my pool lounge chair all day. So much happened that I wasn't expecting. The smells, the hidden rooms and what happens underground! The story line is not for the faint of heart or die hard "everything's rosy at Disney" fan. You'll get a glimpse of the dark side, the cons, the secrets and what goes on behind closed doors.
Habst reminds me of a Christian Grey type character, smooth talking and kinda sexy in a dark sort of way. He uses who he needs to in order to get what he wants to get him his next fix but all in the name of Disney. Habst remembers walking Main Street as a kid and doesn't want anything or anyone to ruin Walt's dream. He soon finds out that someone is trying to and he will do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn't happen, even risk his own life.

Have you seen WDW Magazine yet? This month marks this fabulous digital magazine's one year anniversary! If you're a big Disney fan and you haven't checked it out yet, you owe it to yourself to do so. It is the brain child of Carl Trent who is also the creator of "Dad's Guide to WDW".

What makes it special? Well many things. First of all the beautiful photography is NOT to be missed. There are few photographs I've seen that are more stunning. There are topics for both the "newbie" and "veteran" of Walt Disney World that are well written and informative. There are several contributors which bring to the digital magazine different perspectives and areas of expertise. Because the magazine is digital you will find beautiful pictures and videos!

The magazine covers all the seasonal celebrations as well as current "happenings" and is a great way to feel like you get a little bit of Disney delivered to your computer or mobile device each month!
WDW Magazine is currently available for iPhone and iPad and it can be downloaded in the Apple store. I chose to get mine via my Android device through Google Play. I get a notification each month when the new issue is available. Several different subscription plans are available including single issues or yearly subscriptions. For more information, check them out on the web here  or on Facebook here. You can "check out" last December's issue for free on the website! You owe it to yourself to take a look! Oh, and if you're looking for a Christmas present for your favorite Disney fan... they have a beautiful calendar available for 2015. Right now it's on sale for $19.95!
