My Disney love story happened August 15, 2007. My hubby and I were married at the Grand Floridian's Wedding Pavilion at 10am. I had always dreamed of getting married there ever since I was a child. I truely felt like Cinderella marrying my Prince Charming. My son, age 7 from a previous marriage walked me down the aisle. We chose all Disney songs to be played during our ceremony. This day was a very happy day but also a sad day. Only 15 days before we married my husband's 2 young nephews (ages 8 and 6) died in a house fire. To honor their memory my son wore a button with their pictures and I had an all pink rose bouquet with 2 blue roses. Before the boys died, they were so excited to be able to go to WDW for the first time. Now every trip we make to WDW we always think of the boys and guess what their favorite ride or attraction would be if they were still with us here on Earth. RIP Dustin and Maeson <3

  2. One of the things that brought my husband & I together was our love of Disney! When we found out (while first talking as friends) that one of our shared dreams was to get married in Disney World we knew that was it! Financially, unfourantley, we were unable to make that dream come true on our wedding day. But our first trip together to WDW was on our honeymoon. We had both been there numerous times with our families and before our wedding times presented themselves for us to go but we didn't make it. Our first time was meant to be after we were Mr. & Mrs. We plan on making it a yearly trip now in May to celebrate our anniversary!

  3. My husband and I are major Disney fans our wedding had hidden mickeys everywhere and put cake topper was Mickey and Minnie. We spent out honeymoon at WDW. Our 1year wedding anniversary is this Sunday the 22. I am so happy to have a husband that doesn't think it is weird to throw on Disney music and dance around the house. In 2021 we are going back to renew our vows, have our 2nd honeymoon and celebrate the 50th birthday of the magic kingdom. Thank you for the awsome giveaways and hopefully we win this one.
    Sincerely,
    Wendy Stetson

  4. I’ve grow up with Disney, from the Disney movies, to the parks, and cruises. I worked at Disney for a semester in college, as well as celebrated a few birthdays in Disney. Clearly I love everything Disney. It’s even better when I get to bring someone who hasn’t been to Disney since they were little. I’ve known my boyfriend for several years before we started dating. He’s a firefighter in the fire department that my family has been a part of since I was born. We never dated because the timing was never right. But it has never been more perfect than it is now that we’re dating. It’s so easy to laugh, talk, and just be with him especially knowing him for all these years. I asked if he wanted to come to Disney with my family this year for the Wine and Food Festival. Of course he said yes but he was a little intimidated with the planning. He wanted the trip to be perfect and he didn’t want to ruin anything. After I explained that you can’t ruin a Disney vacation he seemed a little bit better, although he’s chosen to leave the planning up to me.

  6. My love for Disney began as a baby. My room was Disney and has been ever since. I would replay movies and turn them on to help me sleep. I had piles of books starring the gang. I still do! My family took our first trip to WDW when I was 6 and we have been 4 more times since. As I grew older my appreciation turned from just the entertainment factor of the movies and books, to the architecture and design of the parks, the intricate work of the animators, and the morals behind each film. Reading biographies of Walt reminds me we can reach our goals and dreams as long as we keep trying. I will be applying for the Disney College Program as Photopass and it would be a dream come true. As for my “Happily Ever After”, I’m 19 and have been single my entire life. I’m perfectly happy and I’m waiting patiently for my prince charming! When I get married I hope that we can enjoy the magic together. I appreciate new pictures like Brave which promotes more independent women and tells kids it’s okay to be different and to never change for anyone!

  7. I am Minnie and I have found my Mickey! My Fiance and I are two ears on a mickey hat. We are best friends. He accepts the fact that I want my life to be one big fat giant polka dot!( I love polka dots!!) So great! Anyway! He proposed to me on May 5th 2011 in DisneyWorld on our first night (I dont think his nerve could take it any longer!) It was so late and funny because he woke me up to go get a drink! After much hesitation,(it was later worth it) I got up and we went on a walk and once he found a spot worth kneeling upon I said yes! But not before a random person said CONGRATS! before he even asked :/ It made it memorable. We (as would many couples) would love to get married in Disney, and my Mickey has tried very hard to figure out a way, but its just not in the stars. Our date has been postponed two times already because he was hurt at work and has trouble walking now and we figure he would like to Dance at his own wedding! When it does happen there will be PLENTY of obvious and hidden mickeys~

  8. I’ve loved Disney my entire life! I’ve had Disney movies memorized since I was three. My father is in the military, so I’ve lived in five states, ten houses, and I switched schools nine times growing up. Despite the challenge of constantly dealing with new surroundings, I could always rely on my favorite Disney movies to cheer me up. My dream is to be an animator/storyboard artist for the Walt Disney Studios. I got to know a goofy guy during my senior year of high school. It was love at first Disney quote. We dated for about a year and a half during college before we had a fight and broke up with each other. After we graduated from college, he started working at Walt Disney World. I took a small trip down there with my family and was able to meet up with him. Much to my surprise, he had thirteen Disney gifts for me including an alabaster replica of Cinderella’s Castle. We spent a magical day together at the Magic Kingdom. He’s remained in Orlando this year, but he still calls me frequently. I’m not sure if we’re meant to get back together or not, but I’m still hoping that someday my prince will come! A Disney wedding would be a dream come true. :)

  9. My love for Disney started as a baby with a Pooh bear blanket that slept with me til I was 12. Now my love has grown deeper and stronger with the birth of my two little Disney lovin girls. They love the music, movies, parks and nothing makes my heart happier than seeing them so happy! Dancing to princess songs, waking them up to the tune of Zipadeedoodah, having them love visiting the Disney Store or talking about recent trip to WDW. The love shared for everything Disney is something that connects our family and makes our days much more magical together!

  10. My Disney love story started about a week before February 12, 2011. I was searching on the DISboards on the singles thread and came across a post from someone close by in Virginia. I sent him a message and we kept going back and forth for a week. We set up a date for February 12, 2011 at a local restaurant and movie theater. He brought me a few roses since it was so close to Valentines Day. From the day we met we were hooked. Our love of Disney broke the ice and we even talked about what restaurants at Disney we wanted to try. A few months of dating and we moved in together and the rest was history. We planned a trip for October 2011 where we dined at the restaurants we talked about on our first date. We had a great night at Ohana and made our way to the beach area at the Polynesian resort to watch fireworks. Tim asked me what my favorite moment of the trip had been and I told him about the Halloween party. I asked him what his favorite moment was and he said "right now" and got down on one knee. He had the most beautiful ring in his hand and it was such a perfect moment. In 2 months exactly from this day we are getting married down at Disney World at the Swan and Dolphin resort. We cannot wait to share Disney with our guests and to have children one day and share Disney with them. Disney brought us together and will always have a special place in my heart.

  11. I've always been a huge Disney junkie, from the very first time I set my eyes on The Little Mermaid as a little girl. No matter how many times I go to WDW, I always get chills when I catch a glimpse of Cinderella's Castle. But that reaction is nothing compared to what Wishes does to me- there's something so incredibly magical and beautiful about it that it makes me cry every single time. Even just hearing the music gets me! Now, my reaction is even more emotional, since my fiancĂ©, Christopher, proposed during Wishes last year. He waited until the Blue Fairy told everyone to “hold our hearts together and make a wish come true,” then he told me to close my eyes and make a wish. He told me that he loved me more than anything and put the ring box in my hands! We both share a love of all things Disney, so we will be getting married in WDW 6 weeks from today! I've been dreaming of a Disney wedding since I was little, and now it's coming true! I can't wait to add more chapters to our Fairy Tale!

  12. Growing up, I always watched Disney movies and hoped and dreamed I’d find that special someone. That someone that would fight the evil dragon, or search the kingdom for me should we separate… or even be that someone who would stay young forever with me. And in 2010, I found that certain someone. That someone I had met once upon a dream. The one that would not let me leave the ball, but should something happen, would search the kingdom and protect me. We are so alike, and we don’t want to grow up. Thankfully, we both love Disney and that is possible. Although we both love Disney movies, we also share an affinity for Disney parks, and the man that made it all happen – Walt himself. When he popped the question, he knew two things: It had to be in WDW, and we both had to be wearing Mickey ears. I’m extremely fortunate to be planning for our Fairytale Wedding, in the place that means so much to us. Disney brought us together, made us dreamers, and is making dreams a reality.
    Keep moving forward.
    Reach for the sky.
    Dreams do come true...

  13. I've always been a Disney fan and loved going to WDW with my mother and my son. 2 years ago I brought my then boyfriend on a trip with us. He hadn't been for 25 years and was amazed with the changes and how much fun he had. Not long after the trip he asked me to marry him, naturally I said yes! He told me I could have whatever I wanted for our wedding so I naturally figured out a way to make ours a Disney wedding! We combined our wedding and our honeymoon as a trip to WDW last November. We married on the Luau Beach at the Polynesian Resort with my mother and my son there and Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain in the background. It was a small, short ceremony but I wouldn't change it for anything. Our wedding dinner was at Cinderella's Royal Table and we were surprised with a wedding cake by my mother...a Haunted Mansion cake, it was perfect! We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary and our love for each other and Disney again at WDW this year... I couldn't imagine any other way!

  15. I guess my Disney Love Affair started when I was a child. I had all the Disney Golden Books and their books on cassette. I listened to the cassettes so much, they all started to break on me! Growing up, my family was only able to visit WDW twice. Each time was very magical for me. Seeing the castle at the end of Main Street always brought a tear to my eyes. As I grew older my love never did fade. I have seen almost every Disney movie too many times to count. I met my prince 16 years ago and we have been married for 13 years. He understands my Disney love because he has it too. The first time we took our son to WDW was when he was 4. Seeing his eyes light up the first time brought all of the magic to me. Since then, we have been able to go two more times and are surprising him with a trip this year for his birthday. I hope our son will be able to continue the Disney Love Affair we have with his children and that we are both there to enjoy their magic and wonder.

My husband and I met at a bingo hall where we both worked at. Not long after we met I knew I had met my real life Prince Charming :) In 2005 we got engaged and started planning our wedding. At first we were planning on a small ceremony in a local garden park. But for some reason it didn't feel quite right. One day I was browsing the disney sites and found some posts about Disney weddings....I was hooked...There was my dream wedding but I didn't think it was possible. But somehow my husband to be made it happen. I brought it up that evening and he was as excited about it as I was. We began planning our beautiful dream wedding and 5 months later we were in Disney World with my daughter, my mother and a couple close friends. It was such a wonderful, dream come true day filled with lots of love and laughter. We ended the day with an amazing fireworks cruise which was the perfect ending. This is how our wonderful life began 6 years ago. Since then we have had 2 little boys who love Disney just as much if not more than us. We took our oldest boy when he was just 4 months old and we are planning our first Disney Cruise for this Christmas. I cherish every trip that we are able to take and all of the amazing memories we make as a family.
